Talk to us about Enterprise

DictateHub Enterprise connects the app to your organization's systems through the DictateHub Connector, a small service your IT team runs next to its databases. It's licensed directly to organizations, not sold in the App Store. Tell us about your team and the systems you'd like to connect, and we'll be in touch about licensing and pricing.

What Enterprise adds

Less typing, fewer mistakes, every take accounted for.

Enterprise builds on DictateHub's recorder, index fields, and exports with features that read from and write to your organization's systems.

Database lookup

Scan a barcode and every other index field fills from your records — patient, encounter, matter, job, or asset.

Work queue

Load the list of pending dictations from your system and work through them, each one pre-filling its fields.

Export logging

Each export is logged back to your system, so your records show which takes were sent and where.

One-scan setup

Configure each iPhone and iPad by scanning a single setup code from the Connector's admin console.

The DictateHub Connector

Runs on your servers, next to your databases.

The Connector is a small service your IT team installs on-premises. The app talks to the Connector over HTTPS; only the Connector talks to your databases.

  • Install it your way — a Docker image, or a service on Linux, macOS, or Windows.
  • Bring your databases — PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and SQL Server.
  • Several named connections — for example, lookups from the EHR and the export log in a separate database.
  • Browser admin console, local to the server, for connections, queries, app keys, and status.

Setup

From install to first dictation.

  1. Install the Connector on a server that can reach your databases, using Docker or as a service on Linux, macOS, or Windows.
  2. Add your connections in the browser admin console — PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, or SQL Server.
  3. Write each query and press “Try it” to run it against real data. Tests that would change data are always rolled back.
  4. Create app keys for your devices and watch their status from the console.
  5. Scan the setup code. The console shows a QR code; scan it in DictateHub (Settings → Databases → Scan setup code) or with the iPhone Camera, and the device is configured.

Security

Built so your data stays where it is.

The Connector keeps your databases behind your own walls. Here is how it's built.

  • Database passwords stay on your server — never on phones or iPads.
  • HTTPS only between the app and the Connector.
  • Your own SQL, safely bound — values are always passed as parameters, never pasted into the query.
  • App keys stored only as hashes, and revocable one device at a time.
  • Logs never contain barcodes or patient data.
  • The app never sends SQL from the device, and no DictateHub server sits in the path.
